What is Character & Integrity Building?

There is nothing more important or valuable in a person’s life than their Character and Integrity! Character and Integrity is defined in the following ways: Do you know the difference between right and wrong? What kind of reputation do you have in the community? And finally: Can You Be Trusted?

A person’s demonstrated level of Character and Integrity is what ultimately will decide their level of success in life. Such success however is not defined in terms of money, titles or power. But rather, what each one of us can contribute to society to make our lives and communities a better place in which to live and raise our families. Living a life of high character and integrity is something that needs to be built and reinforced every day of our life. Young and old, rich and poor, all of us need to build upon our individual sense of character and integrity.

Why is Character & Integrity Building- No Excuses so important in today’s society?

I believe that our society as a whole is too focused on test scores and the benefits of a particular “core curriculum”. If we truly care about the future of our young people we must also incorporate and place a greater emphasis on the importance of their Character in their overall educational development. We must stress to the students how vital a component their Character is to their life now and in the future.  They will find that whatever their educational level, GPA or degrees they attain - without the requisite character and integrity the doors to colleges, the military, desired business and employment opportunities will not open.
